The School of Communication and Promotion of Contemporary Artistic Heritage aims to train professionals who will work in the museum and cultural heritage sectors. With a solid theoretical background complemented by repeated work experience opportunities in the field of exhibition design and cultural projects. Various areas of expertise involving curatorship, communication, teaching and skills in the management of cultural heritage are part of the CVPAC school’s training programme. Over the course of five years, students will be trained in the most up-to-date international standards relating to museums, cultural heritage and, more generally, the appreciation of works of art in architectural spaces. An integral part of the study programme are the practical exercises that are carried out regularly in museums, where case studies are put into practice. During the three-year course, the training will focus on acquiring data and concepts that introduce the subject of museums, their transformations over recent decades, which have substantially changed their role in society, and how new professional figures have emerged around cultural heritage.

Learning Objectives
The course of study for the first-level academic diploma from the School of Communication and Promotion of Contemporary Artistic Heritage aims to provide students with knowledge and technical-practical methods in the field of contemporary artistic heritage, to promote and communicate the innumerable expressions of this heritage in the fields of literature, cinema, television, theatre, museums, archives, tourism and music. Graduates of the first-level course must: – possess adequate technical and practical training; – possess adequate methodological and critical tools; – be able to use at least one second EU language effectively in addition to their mother tongue; – possess the necessary knowledge of IT tools at least in their areas of competence.
Career prospects
Graduates of the first-level course will have solid employment prospects in public and private institutions operating in the field of promotion, communication, protection, conservation and cataloguing of cultural heritage in superintendencies, museums, archives and libraries. theatres, and film libraries as assistants to “cultural heritage managers”, a qualification that can be obtained with the two-year specialisation course “Communication and Enhancement of Contemporary Artistic Heritage” (Italian Ministerial Decree 164 of 23/11/2009); – For the organisation of horizontal and vertical layer-by-layer cultural itineraries; – For the creation of cultural events aimed at communicating and promoting contemporary artistic heritage in all its many forms. The first-level diploma is a preferential qualification for enrolment in the two-year specialist course in Communication and Promotion of Contemporary Artistic Heritage, Italian Ministerial Decree 164 of 23/11/2009.
Entry requirements
Candidates seeking admission to the first-level academic diploma course in “Communication and Promotion of Contemporary Artistic Heritage” must possess: 1. a secondary school diploma; 2. knowledge of general culture, art history, basic computer science, and first-level English language skills. For the assessment of the admission requirements, the committee takes into account: – the secondary school diploma grade; – the written and graphic test; – the oral interview.
Type of final assessment
At the end of the three-year course, students are required to discuss a project, carried out under the supervision of one or more course lecturers, before a committee of three or more members.
