Entusiastica partecipazione di addetti ai lavori e pubblico, coinvolgimento di protagonisti dell’arte e una proficua interazione tra accademici e appassionati: è di segno positivo il bilancio chiuso dal Progetto EAR – Enacting Artistic Research in occasione della Notte europea dei Ricercatori e delle Ricercatrici.
Il 24-25 e 26 settembre l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma e i partner del progetto EAR hanno partecipato all’edizione 2025 dell’importante evento annuale con una serie di iniziative dedicate alle interazioni tra ricerca artistica e scientifica, ospitate nella sede di Campo Boario.
La manifestazione ha offerto un’efficace vetrina in cui illustrare i progressi di EAR, dimostrando il crescente interesse del pubblico per i campi di studio indagati dal progetto europeo avviato a maggio 2024. L’evento ha potuto infatti contare sulla partecipazione di oltre cinquecento visitatori, registrando un grande coinvolgimento di studenti e ricercatori di Atenei e Accademie italiani e internazionali.
Le iniziative organizzate nell’alveo della Notte Europea dei Ricercatori e delle Ricercatrici hanno offerto al pubblico di appassionati ed esperti l’occasione per scoprire – in anteprima e da vicino – alcuni dei risultati del progetto.
Tra questi, la release dell’interfaccia web di °’°Kobi, ma anche il debutto della piattaforma nel mondo dei suoni, con l’installazione interattiva TESSELA. Per proseguire con la dimostrazione pratica dei processi creativi alla base di alcune importanti opere storico-artistiche e la presentazione dei processi di rappresentazione di dipinti e affreschi, anche attraverso la diagnostica con raggi X e infrarossi. Parte del programma mirava a presentare l’innovativa piattaforma internazionale PhDHub, dedicata ai dottorati artistici, passando poi a raccontare i progetti dei giovani ricercatori, con alcune affascinanti anteprime: il trailer della mostra multimediale Purchè tiri al favoloso, incentrata sulla figura di Giovan Battista Marino; l’applicazione VR che consente di “entrare” nel camerino del letterato e interagire con i dipinti e gli oggetti in esso custoditi; l’app di gaming dedicata a Castel Del Monte.
Infine, la manifestazione si è offerta come occasione di interazione e confronto sui temi cruciali della ricerca artistica e le sue prospettive future, anche grazie al coinvolgimento di un gruppo internazionale di studiosi ospitati da EAR per presentare il work in progress del progetto COST Action CA23158 – Artistic Intelligence: supportato da COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology).
Insomma, un successo sotto tutti i punti di vista, testimoniato anche dalla risonanza della manifestazione ospitata dall’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, che ha potuto avvalersi della presenza e del coinvolgimento di Sergio Blanco, tra i massimi esponenti della drammaturgia contemporanea.

An enthusiastic participation of professionals and the general public, the engagement of key figures from the art world, and a fruitful dialogue between academics and enthusiasts: these are the highlights of the positive outcome achieved by the EAR – Enacting Artistic Research project during the European Researchers’ Night.
From 24 to 26 September, the Fine Arts Academy of of Rome and the EAR project partners joined the 2025 edition of this major annual event with a series of initiatives dedicated to exploring the interactions between artistic and scientific research, hosted at the Campo Boario venue.
The event provided an effective showcase for illustrating the progress of the EAR project, demonstrating the growing public interest in the areas of study investigated by the European initiative launched in May 2024. Over five hundred visitors took part, with strong involvement from students and researchers from Italian and international universities and academies.
The activities organized within the framework of the European Researchers’ Night offered both experts and enthusiasts the opportunity to discover—up close and in preview—some of the project’s latest outcomes.
Among these were the release of the web interface for °’°Kobi, and the debut of the platform in the world of sound through the interactive installation TESSELA. The program also featured live demonstrations of the creative processes behind major historical artworks and presentations of pictorial and fresco representation techniques, including X-ray and infrared diagnostic methods.
Part of the schedule was dedicated to presenting the innovative international platform PhDHub, designed for artistic doctorates, followed by presentations of projects by young researchers, offering several fascinating previews: the trailer of the multimedia exhibition Purché tiri al favoloso, focused on the poet Giovan Battista Marino; a VR application that allows visitors to “enter” the writer’s study and interact with the paintings and objects it contains; and a gaming app dedicated to Castel del Monte.
Finally, the event served as a valuable occasion for discussion and exchange on key themes in artistic research and its future perspectives, also thanks to the participation of an international group of scholars hosted by EAR to present the work in progress of COST Action CA23158 – Artistic Intelligence, supported by COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology).
In short, it was a success in every respect, further confirmed by the wide resonance of the event hosted by the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome, which was honored by the presence and participation of Sergio Blanco, one of the foremost figures in contemporary dramaturgy.
