Dialogo sul piccolo formato

Venerdì 6 Febbraio 2026 verrà inaugurata, nello spazio della ‘’CrossinGallery’’ presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, sede di Campo Boario – Fienili, il primo ciclo di incontri con l’Università coreana Kyung Hee University College of Fine Arts.
L’iniziativa nasce dalla volontà di creare uno scambio culturale tra l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma e il Kyung Hee University College of Fine Arts in occasione del 2025 Winter Overseas Major Study Program, con l’obiettivo di aprire un dialogo tra istituzioni di alta formazione artistica appartenenti a differenti culture, vedendo la diversità come un necessario arricchimento.
Il progetto di mediazione culturale prevede mostre, lezioni, letture, simposi e laboratori. La mostra “Roma e Seoul, Est e Ovest in CrossingGallery. Dialogo sul piccolo formato” è la prima tappa di un percorso espositivo che vuole restituire un confronto sulla ricerca e didattica delle due diverse istituzioni.
In questa prima occasione si esporranno opere di piccolo formato prodotte da studenti e studentesse dei corsi di Scultura della Prof.ssa Oriana Impei e Storia dell’Arte Contemporanea della Prof.ssa Ada Lombardi dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma e studenti dei corsi di Pittura del Kyung Hee University College of Fine Arts.
La mostra, a tema libero, é frutto della ricerca personale degli studenti selezionati per il progetto, con l’obiettivo di offrire uno spaccato dei risultati di svariati percorsi didattici, ma rappresenta anche una testimonianza di come le giovani generazioni si confrontano con la realtà globale e come riescono a condividere i traguardi di un personale accrescimento culturale.
Gli accordi di collaborazione tra le due istituzioni sono stati promossi dallo scultore di fama internazionale Park Eun-sun e del professor Jonggap Park.

Concept:
The initiative stems from the desire to foster a cultural exchange between the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome and the Kyung Hee University College of Fine Arts, in conjunction with the 2025 Winter Overseas Major Study Program and the agreements signed between the two institutions. The goal is to foster dialogue between institutions of high artistic culture belonging to different cultures, viewing diversity as a necessary enrichment.
The cultural mediation project includes exhibitions, lectures, readings, symposia, and workshops. The exhibition “Rome and Seoul, East and West in Crossing Gallery. Dialogue on the Small Format” is the first stage of an exhibition program that aims to foster a dialogue between the research and teaching of the two institutions. This first exhibition will feature small-format works by students of the Sculpture courses taught by Professor Oriana Impei and the History of Contemporary Art taught by Professor Ada Lombardi at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome, as well as students of the Painting courses at the Kyung Hee University College of Fine Arts.
The exhibition, open to a specific theme, is the result of the personal research of the students selected for the project. It aims to offer a snapshot of the results of various educational programs, but it also serves as a testament to how younger generations engage with global reality and how they share the goals of personal cultural growth.
The collaboration agreements between the two institutions were promoted by internationally renowned sculptor Park Eun-sun and Professor Jonggap Park.
