{"id":131507,"date":"2022-11-02T09:51:38","date_gmt":"2022-11-02T08:51:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/docenti\/prof-ferdinando-fedele\/"},"modified":"2022-11-02T09:51:38","modified_gmt":"2022-11-02T08:51:38","slug":"prof-ferdinando-fedele","status":"publish","type":"docenti","link":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/docenti\/prof-ferdinando-fedele\/","title":{"rendered":"Prof. Ferdinando Fedele"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Born in 1964.<br \/>\nSince 1993, he has taught at the Academies of Fine Arts in Sassari, L\u2019Aquila, Milan and Naples.<br \/>\nSince 2013, he has been a lecturer in Printmaking Techniques \/ Graphic Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.<br \/>\nHis artistic research focuses on the ways in which it is possible to establish a dialectical connection between the printmaking tradition, understood both in historical and iconological terms and in a technical sense, and the complex sphere of processes associated with it, primarily photography and all its subsequent offshoots, with a view to enriching both, resulting in a different conception of contemporaneity with respect to their respective artistic languages.<br \/>\nTherefore, he bases his exploration of photomechanical printing, offset printing and cyanotype, as well as his approach to digital printing and stencilling, on an in-depth study of the history of printmaking and drawing. This enables him to push beyond certain spatial constraints inherent in the printmaking medium through his participation, together with his students, in institutional street art events, including: \u2018OSA. Operazione Street Art\u201d, Diamante, 2018; \u201cCampo Boario\u201d Workshop, Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Corviale, 2018\/19; \u201cPunto di arrivo nel nuovo mondo\u201d Workshop, Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Monte Soratte, 2021\/22.<br \/>\nIn 2022, he curated the workshop \u2018In tiratura limitata\u2019 (\u2018In Limited Edition\u2019) in collaboration with the artist Giovanni Timpani at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.<br \/>\nFrom 2015 to 2018, he was a Lecturer in Experimental Techniques as part of &#8216;Artlab&#8217;, a Level I master&#8217;s programme in &#8216;Languages of Graphic Art&#8217;, a joint degree offered by the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and the University of Tor Vergata.<br \/>\nHe has participated in numerous national and international exhibition events, and his solo exhibitions include: <em>Cave Canem<\/em>, Galleria Cesare Manzo, Pescara, 1995; <em>La Muta<\/em>, Studio Vigato, Alessandria, 1996; <em>Plus ou moins comme<\/em>, J&#038;J Donguy Galerie, Paris, 1999; <em>Cena in casa Levi<\/em>, Lift Gallery, Rome, 2005; <em>Reflection<\/em>, Hybridacontemporanea Gallery, Rome, 2007; <em>Fissare lo sguardo<\/em>, LaPortaBluGallery, Rome, 2009; <em>Locus solus<\/em>, FedeleStudio, Nocera Inferiore (SA), 2019.<br \/>\nHe has also created numerous public artworks and designed large-scale pictorial installations, including the cycle of paintings for three altarpieces in the Church of Santissimo Salvatore, Passiano (Cava de\u2019 Tirreni).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-131507","docenti","type-docenti","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/docenti\/131507","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/docenti"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/docenti"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=131507"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
