{"id":131406,"date":"2022-11-02T12:22:50","date_gmt":"2022-11-02T11:22:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/docenti\/prof-marilena-sutera\/"},"modified":"2026-04-23T11:31:30","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T09:31:30","slug":"prof-marilena-sutera","status":"publish","type":"docenti","link":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/docenti\/prof-marilena-sutera\/","title":{"rendered":"Prof Marilena Sutera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marilena Sutera, born in Fermo in 1959, lectures in Printmaking Techniques and Screen Printing at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.<br \/>\nShe specialised in printmaking at the \u2018Il Bisonte\u2019 International School of Graphic Arts in Florence and in screen printing in Madrid at Mariano Durante\u2019s studio. In her work, she draws on her experience in painting and printmaking to explore and create new forms of expression. She collaborates with the choreographer Aurelio Gatti on painting-dance performances, creates videos and designs video installations such as &#8216;La scatola della memoria&#8217; (The Memory Box), Calcata (VT), and &#8216;Diomira&#8217;, Rome. She has held numerous solo exhibitions, including \u2018VIRIDITAS\u2019 at the Malborghetto Archaeological Museum in Rome, \u2018FUORI CENTRO\u2019 at the \u2018L\u2019Alveare\u2019 Centre in Milan, \u2018LEVITAZIONI\u2019 at the Galleria Il Marzocco in Rome, \u2018ROSSO FAVOLA\u2019 at Palazzo Datini in Prato, and \u2018IL LINGUAGGIO SOGNATO DELLA GRAFICA\u2019 at the Centre for Printmaking and Graphic Art in Formello (Rome). She has taken part in major national and international art exhibitions, including the 66th Sassoferrato Prize, Municipality of Sassoferrato (AN), \u2018Segno contemporaneo\u2019, Dingyuan Art Museum, Beijing, and the Bellini Museum, Florence, and contributed to the collective artist\u2019s book \u2018Raices\u2019 produced by TRESS, Taller de grabado, Lima.<br \/>\nHis work has been published in the book &#8216;REGISTRI DI ARTE&#8217; by Mariano Apa.<br \/>\nHe has curated projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, La Sapienza University in Rome and Boston College in Boston, the Terna utility company, the Osvaldo Licini Research Centre, Temple University in Philadelphia and the City of Rome.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":118330,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-131406","docenti","type-docenti","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/docenti\/131406","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/docenti"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/docenti"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/118330"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=131406"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
