{"id":131389,"date":"2023-03-06T15:19:26","date_gmt":"2023-03-06T14:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/docenti\/prof-gianfranco-tortora\/"},"modified":"2023-03-06T15:19:26","modified_gmt":"2023-03-06T14:19:26","slug":"prof-gianfranco-tortora","status":"publish","type":"docenti","link":"https:\/\/abaroma.it\/en\/docenti\/prof-gianfranco-tortora\/","title":{"rendered":"Prof Gianfranco Tortora"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During his school years, he studied piano, established himself as a DJ and trained as an audio\/lighting\/video technician, working with various service providers.<br \/>\nAfter leaving school, he continued his studies at the SNCI in Florence, taking courses in directing, editing and sound engineering, and graduating as a Documentary Technician and Audiovisual Recording Technician.<br \/>\nHe subsequently obtained diplomas from the Rossellini Cine TV Institute in Rome and from ACT Multimedia in Cinecitt\u00e0, and completed a Master\u2019s in Sound Engineering at AAMOD Audiovisivo.<br \/>\nEven during his training, he began working as a live sound engineer, boom operator and mixing sound engineer in the field of film production and post-production for various production companies, collaborating with several internationally renowned directors. As a live sound engineer, he has worked on over 150 films, including &#8216;A Private Affair&#8217; by the Taviani brothers, &#8216;Monte&#8217; by Amir Naderi, winner of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Prize at the 73rd Venice Film Festival, &#8216;The Dew Point&#8217; by Marco Risi, and the Netflix series &#8216;Sanpa&#8217; by Cosima Spender. In 2013, he founded Sud Sound Studios, a film and television production and post-production company. As a sound mixing engineer, he has worked on over 100 films, including Mimmo Calopresti\u2019s \u2018Gianni Versace, l\u2019imperatore dei sogni\u2019, Giulio Base\u2019s \u2018Margherita delle stelle\u2019, Simone Manetti\u2019s \u2018Marta, il delitto della sapienza\u2019 for Netflix, and Jivan Avetisyan\u2019s \u2018Gate to Heaven\u2019. Since 2018, he has been teaching audio and sound mixing at various film schools and national academies. In 2021, he founded Sud Sound Distribution, which to date has distributed more than 40 titles.
