Baldassarre
Stefano Baldassarre is a graphic designer with over thirty years’ experience in the profession, specialising in editorial graphic design, corporate identity, production and printing. Alongside his professional work, he has always been committed to training.
Over the years, he has designed for Biblioteche di Roma, Cinecittà S.P.A., the City of Rome, Confindustria, ICG Istituto Centrale per la Grafica, IRPPS-CNR, MAST Museo d’Arte Sacra Tarquinia, Médecins Sans Frontières, MuSEd Università Roma Tre, Romaeuropa Festival, Teatro di Roma, Topipittori, UISP, Unicem, WWF, and more. Some of his work has been published in Graphis Annual, Art Directors Club Italiano and Progetto Grafico magazine; other projects have been selected and awarded prizes by the ADI Design Index.
The aim of this course is to equip students with a thorough understanding of the correct approach to graphic and editorial design and publishing, by exploring all the organisational, communicative, design-related and technical aspects of the profession.
From simulating the client–designer relationship to the briefing, the final print-ready designs and the production workflow, the entire course is focused on the practical application and development of a realistic coordinated communication design project.
Students are expected to participate fully in class in order to discuss and share their experiences with their peers.
Examination method. A reasoned presentation, based on a provided template, of the entire project, from the visual identity to the various communication tools, through to the design of an initial exhibition layout.
