Audiovisual Techniques for the Web
Teaching programme

The course in Audiovisual Techniques for the Web aims to provide students with the theoretical and technical-practical tools needed to create audiovisual content for the web, through lectures focusing on the viewing of online video works and an analysis of how audiovisual language for the web can influence the world of art. The workshop component will focus on teaching production and post-production techniques for the various outlets offered by the web: students will explore different video formats (horizontal, square and vertical) and different durations (from a few-second StoriesCorporate VideosStudents will be supported in creating audiovisual works during the course, which they will then analyse in class. They will be asked to produce audiovisual material in places of art and culture (such as museums and galleries) and to adapt this material in various forms for the web. In addition to web language, students will also receive guidance on writing, filming, post-production and online publishing techniques. These practical exercises serve as preparation for the final assessment, for which students will be required to produce several videos in different formats and publish them on a Facebook, Instagram and TikTok channel created specifically for the class. Students are therefore expected to have the technical knowledge necessary to be proficient in creating audiovisual content for the web, as well as a theoretical foundation to support them in engaging with video language in all its forms.
